I was dreaming of a moonless night,
cold and frightened, only pain my sight;
And I wondered what I'd done?

chosen him now, to be with your Son.

I was shaken, in my silent prayer.
I am angry, but direct it where?
In a room as cold as stone, I will
kiss him goodbye alone.....

And I wondered, as I kissed his face,
why an older one, couldn't take his place.
It was hard to let this go; it's hard to trust what I don't know.
